Eclipse — Privacy Policy

The short version. The photos and videos you capture in Eclipse stay on your device. We never receive them, and there is no account or cloud album. We do collect anonymous usage statistics to understand which features people use, and the free version shows ads.

This policy explains how PugSky Studio ("we", "us", "our") handles information in the Eclipse iPhone and Apple Watch application (the "App").

1. Your photos and videos

Media you capture is written to a private album inside the App, in the App's own storage on your device. It is optionally protected by Face ID or your device passcode.

We do not upload, receive, view, or store your captures.
There is no account, no sign-in, and no cloud synchronisation.
Media leaves the App only when you explicitly export it to the system Photos app or share it using the iOS share sheet.
Deleting the App deletes its private album. Export anything you want to keep first.

2. Face ID and biometrics

If you lock the private album, authentication is performed by iOS. We receive only a success or failure result. Your biometric data never leaves your device and is never accessible to us.

3. Analytics we collect

To understand how the App is used and where it can be improved, we collect anonymous usage events through PostHog and Google Firebase Analytics. This includes:

Which features are opened and used — for example that a capture was taken, a camera mask was switched, or the gallery was opened.
Your App settings, such as the selected mask, capture delay, and gallery preferences.
The number of items in your private album — a count only, never the content.
Whether you have an active subscription, app version, device model, and operating-system version.

We never send the content of your photos or videos, their filenames, their location data, or any thumbnail to analytics. Because the App has no login, these events are tied to a randomly generated identifier for your installation, not to your name, email, or Apple ID. Deleting and reinstalling the App generates a new identifier.

4. Advertising

The free version of the App displays ads supplied by Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads that unlock extra storage slots. AdMob may use device and advertising identifiers to select and measure ads, subject to your choice under Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Subscribing to Eclipse PRO removes ads.

5. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of your entitlement status from Apple's servers. We never see your payment card, billing address, or Apple ID credentials.

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

7. Your choices

You can decline app-tracking permission when iOS prompts you, or change it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
You can revoke camera, microphone, or photo-library permission at any time in iOS Settings, though the App needs the camera to function.
You can delete all collected media by deleting items in the App or removing the App.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
